liaison officer

Jan van den Berg (Uithoorn, 1958) is liaison officer for grass-roots entrepreneurship. After studying Development Economics at the Wageningen University (WUR), he worked for more than eleven years in Africa for SNV and ILO, in Guinea Bissau, Niger and Cameroon in projects involving cooperatives, agriculture, food storage, credit and savings, and small-scale enterprises.

From 2000 till 2001, he worked in Mali as liaison officer for ICCO.
He has worked at Agriterra since 200. First as projects officer, being responsible for relationships in Rwanda, Uganda, Niger, Rumania and Haiti. Since April 2011 Jan is liaison officer. He focuses on promoting grass-roots entrepreneurship, economic activities of farmers, improving the financial administration, bookkeeping and accounting of clients. Jan has participated in missions to Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Philippines, Haiti, Rumania and Niger.
