After finishing secondary school, Marieke Postma (Huizen NH, 1965) worked as an au pair in Paris where she also took some courses at the Sorbonne.

Back in the Netherlands, she started the secondary-teacher training in Utrecht, but after the first year she switched over to the education for management secretaries at the Schoevers Institute in Arnhem. After that, she worked for a variety of companies and organisations (a real-estate agent, an environmental organisation, an international trading company, and others).

Since 1999, she has been working as a part-time secretary at the several departments in Agriterra. As of April 2011 Marieke supports the team grass-roots entrepreneurship as secretary.
