Marly Boonman (Noordoostpolder, 1960) studied Public Relations/ Information in Deventer and graduated as a Master’s in Development Studies in The Hague. She worked for 10 years in rural development projects in cooperation with rural people’s organisations in Yemen, Nicaragua and Zimbabwe. After returning to the Netherlands, she started working in 1996 for the predecessor of Agriterra, the Paulo Freire Foundation (PFS).

Marly is Liaison Officer and focuses her activities on organisations in Latin America. In the Netherlands, she coordinates the activities of 4VO (4 women’s organisations). Within Agriterra she fulfils the specific function of quality coordinator for the entire organisation.
