Breakthrough of AgriCord

Through AgriCord, the alliance of agri-agencies of which Agriterra is a member too, we try to link the contribution from the Netherlands to that from other countries, raised by other AgriCord members.
Agriterra wants to build on the integration at the level of AgriCord and the more efficient use of the work force of the joint agri-agencies, without letting disappear the internal differences between the agri-agencies. It is indeed very important to maintain the identity of the individual agri-agencies as well as the ties with the supporting organizations in their own countries.

The agri-agencies have prepared their internal organization and systems for growth and for a further integration at the level of AgriCord. Mutual arrangements have been made between IFAP, AgriCord and individual agri-agencies:

• The organization of AgriCord, an alliance that completely relies on the individual agri-agencies for its working machinery;
• The engagement to try to achieve a uniformization and standardization of the administrative procedures;
• Memorandum of Understanding of 2004 of IFAP and AgriCord, stipulating that AgriCord will become the executive body of the IFAP programmes;
• Appointments between agri-agencies about mutual backdonorship with regard to AgriCord programmes in case the financiers of those programmes prefer to work through [...]
