KENFAP´s core programmes and activities are divided into three categories:
(i) Lobbying and Advocacy
(ii) Service Provision
(iii) Information Management and Dissemination
(i)Lobbying and Advocacy
KENFAP endeavors to facilitate the process of creating favorable policy environment for farmers to benefit from their efforts.
(ii)Service Provision
a. Farmer to Farmer Extension (FtF)
In the rural areas, members of KENFAP are organized into Common Interest Groups (CIGs), where they are trained on new improved agricultural technologies and research products.
b. Linking Rural Farmers in the Internet
Linking farmers with the Internet to exchange experiences with others is a process that has enriched and improved the situation of farmers registered with KENFAP.
c. Leadership Training
This is a crosscutting issue that is inbuilt in most of the activities of the Federation. Being a membership organization, where new leaders are elected into office periodically, the process of inducting them and preparing them to serve their members is given priority.
d. Advisory and Consultancy
KENFAP offers several professional advisory and consultancy services to its membership and the wider public in matters of agriculture and rural development at an affordable fee.
e. Client/Farmer Empowerment
