Within Agriterra´s M&E system the profiling of Rural People´s Organizations (RPO´s) is the cornerstone. But it is not the only element: country indicators as well as activities and mission reports are likewise important to analyse Agriterra´s performance. The present project aims to combine those elements in an integrated approach, and also to integrate accountability and learning in the M&E system, two aspects that hitherto frequently (but incorrectly) are regarded as non-compatible.
In addition, it is desirable to compare Agriterra´s needs in profiling with those of AgriCord and IFAP and arrive at an integrated approach in order to avoid duplication of efforts and a too heavy burden on RPO´s.
This implies restructuring and adapting both of Agriterra´s profiling formats: the quantitative one and the qualitative one.
Finally, the target of 60 profiles realized in the period 2004-2006 has to be reached, which means that 50 have to be done in 2005-2006.
