The project is a continuation of the activities and programmes developed in the framework of the partnership between Agroned-the Netherlands and the Federation of Agrarian Producers Associations (APAs) in Transilvania. The activities in the programme focus on developing and strengthening (technical) capacities for improved / advanced farming. Scholing and training in the Netherlands along with internships on farms in the Netherlands, study visits and technical missions of Dutch experts are foreseen. To embed and institutionalise the knowledge development the establishment of a information / training center is foreseen safeguarding technical services to members. Also the establishment of model-farms in combination with farmer-to-farmer extension practices aims at transferring knowledge. Next to Agripool mission aimed at TA on farm practices a mission is programmed to assist the Federation in developing an effective and comprehensive structure of agricultural extension, safeguarding the transfer of accrued knowledge to APA members. The project does focus on improving the horticulture, agriculture and livestock / dairy sectors.
