CAMFAD rural poverty reduction and market access (CROP-MA) 2008

CAMFAD (Cambodian Farmers’ Association Federation for Agricultural Development) is a farmers organization working for integrated community development. Its aim is to access to a social development without hunger and insufficiency of food. CAMFAD was created in 1992 by the Cambodian retired groups and volunteer workers and recognized by the Ministry of Interior on 17 February 1995. CAMFAD works to improve human’s well-being through development of rural economy, agriculture, microfinance activities, education and capacity building, health education, advocacy without any form of discrimination.

The aim of the current project proposal is to contribute to poverty alleviation and improve food security in the 3 target provinces first through diversification into small-scale agro-ecology, handicrafts and other sustainable farming practices and linking farmers to market and
supporting small scale agro-enterprises.
