The activities in this work area build on the experiences gained with setting up agricultural credit structures in Latin America and Africa. In Asia, the experiences lie mainly in the area of setting up mutual insurance systems and with embedding insurance in the products offered by credit cooperatives.

Insurance is targeted to be the main area of development in the coming years. With the Dutch insurance and re-insurance mutual Interpolis we will start new insurance activities in six countries. In this work area, we also give shape to our cooperation with Agri-ProFocus partners on the subject of credit, e.g. with Oikocredit, Cordaid-Finance, Rabobank and ICCO. Possibilities of cooperation could also arise with Crédit Agricole (France), Desjardins (Canada) or INCOFIN (Belgium).
