Training of Tanzanian employees

The Tanzania Federation of Cooperatives (TFC) is the national umbrella organisation of 6000 cooperatives. Together, these cooperations represent more than 700,000 members.

New legislation in Tanzania requires that the financial management and reports of cooperatives meet national and international financial standards. TFC requested assistance from Agriterra to assist her members in the establishment and strengthening of a financial management system. The plan is that financial staff of the member cooperatives is trained in financial management and that manuals will be elaborated. In order to obtain accurate financial reporting that meets the standards.
