Women's cooperative on the move in Uruguay

Jan 1, 2008-Dec 31, 2010

Delicias Criollas is a women's cooperative with 150 members. The organisation was established in 2004 and aims to improve the economic position of women. The members sell their own handicraft products on the market, that are presented as responsible and sustainable quality products.

Standard production methods have been developed for these products. Selling of the products is in their own shops and supermarkets. This project aims to develop and deploy a business plan for Delicias Crollas. This will lead to increased independence of CDC.

Recently, a reduction of the cost of production has been noticed. To improve the sales, the cooperative is examining how to promote and distribute the products on the international market.
