The National Association of Farmers of Sierra Leone has been established with the mandate to organize farmers; and to advocate and lobby on their behalf. NAFSL is focusing its activities on production related activities leaving NAFSL with insufficient capacity to provide advocacy services to farmers. NAFSL is in search of strategic focus and the capacity to deliver on agreed strategic direction.
NAFSL does not have trained personnel to provide basic training in advocacy and lobbying, advice, coach on how to plan and conduct issue-based participatory advocacy. In other to overcome this lack of advocacy capacity, it is proposes to organize a series of workshops as a first step in a more comprehensive trajectory pf capacity strengthening.

During 4 seminars the advocacy knowledge and skills of individual participants will be build and the capacity of the organizations they lead or represent to influence policy change and outcomes will be strengthened. Themes of the seminars are:
1. Strategic Management of NAFSL
2. Monitoring and evaluation
3. Communication and positioning
4. Promotion and marketing of NAFSL.
