Farmers' development cooperation in The Netherlands

Agriterra, the Dutch agri-agency for farmers' development cooperation is preparing two events in close coordination with the International Federation of Producer Organizations (IFAP), AgriCord - the alliance of agri-agencies, and Agri-ProFocus - the Dutch public private partnership for agricultural producer organisations in developing countries. The conference and workshop will involve the active participation of delegates of the aforementioned organizations, national farmers' organizations, and bilateral and multilateral development cooperation agencies.
On 31st May there will be the International Conference on Farmers' Organizations & Development Cooperation, with the theme "Farmers Fighting Hunger". It will take place in the city hall of Arnhem, The Netherlands.
On 1st June, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate General for International Cooperation (DGIS) will host a high-level international workshop on "Integrated support for farmers' organizations and development cooperation". This will also take place in the city hall of Arnhem.
the main goal of the event is: to mobilize coordinated and complementary development cooperation for the coming years to allow farmers' organizations to play their full role in fighting poverty and hunger.
