CTAs play a key role in strengthening the RPOs in their specific fields of activity. The CTAs´ understanding of the local situation and the environment in which the organisations operate allows them to provide tailor-made advice. This knowledge serves as a tool not only in supporting Agriterra's current partners but also in making RPOs more visible to other organisations and institutions interested in developing activities focused on rural development in general and on agriculture in particular. This is why it is so important for CTAs to continue to increase their capacities through exchanges, training and independent study.
Activities:
Formulate and carry out country studies
Initiate and maintain contacts with third parties who are, or could be, important to RPOs
Identify and evaluate experts in country or region
Organise regional workshops
Participate in discussions, pursue independent and formal studies
Prepare quarterly reports and task reports
