Cattle Breeding Worldwide

International seminar by Agriterra and Veepro Holland

On the eve of the National Cattle Manifestation Veepro Holland, the organisation for the promotion of Dutch cattle abroad, and Agriterra organised the seminar “Cattle Breeding Worldwide”. This international seminar intended to explore the borders of sustainability.

This Agriterra/Veepro seminar provided a unique mix of international speakers and actual topics. What is the significance of new views and understandings about these topics for both cattle breeders from the Netherlands and their colleagues from the rest of the world? Will the African cattle breeder purely concentrate on milk production, whereas we in the Netherlands precisely tend to aim more and more at sustainability? What are the common challenges and opportunities?

The international participants from Asia, Latin America and Africa, the speakers and the set-up of this event provided ample room for exchange of views and experiences among all people present. Moreover the location at PTC+ in Oenkerk offered the opportunity for an interesting visit at the stables for practical training. The seminar programme contained all elements for a very useful conference, for speakers as well as for participants!
