Chabota Miyoba is a business advisor in Agriterra’s East African team based in Lusaka, Zambia. He is specialised in ICT and Monitoring and Evaluation and first joined Agriterra in June 2016. At that moment he was a was hired as a consultant to improve the financial management and governance systems for all new and existing clients of Agriterra in Zambia. In October 2016 he was given a full-time position within Agriterra as business advisor. He is self-motivated and eager to improve trainings and explore potential trainings. Chabota is also passionate about systems and good governance; he enjoys solving challenges.
Before he started to work for Agriterra, he in 2006 worked for the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia as a data associate. He was able to capture and analyse data for improved project reporting and clinical care. One year and six months later he was promoted to the position of data coordinator at the Southern Zambia provincial office.
After two years, he joined another agency, the Zambia National AIDS Council as a Provincial ICT/M&E Officer for four years. He provided ICT and Monitoring and Evaluation support to district AIDS task forces, community based organizations and line ministries in HIV/AIDS data collection, analysis and reporting. He also supported HIV/AIDS partners in planning, dissemination and use of data for strategic decision making and was in charge of research and assessment activities in the province.
Later he later joined Agribusiness Systems International as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager in charge of planning, monitoring and evaluation, responsible for data collection and analysis, monitoring system development, donor reporting and compliance monitoring.
