After seven years of experiences in the development sector with a background in forest environment and resources management (2012) and a master in social science (development studies, 2015), Hoang Hao Tra My is seeking for a solution where local people could use their internal power with external supports (capacity building, funding, networking, etc.) through development initiatives.
My has involved in development projects in different roles, from volunteer to research assistant (2009-2013), from program officer to project manager (2013-2017). From 2017 to 2019, My have worked as a Project Coordinator of the Ethnic Minority Economic Empowerment project in the Huong Hoa district of World Vision International in Vietnam.
She has been experienced the challenges and successful cases of local value chain development for agricultural products of Van Kieu ethnic minority. My wants to contribute to the development of cooperative by linking local products to companies and customers through a sustainable local value chain development process.
In addition to her work My enjoys sports, backpacking, and meditation.
