Agnes Janszen studied Business Administration in Groningen and her final thesis she did a study at service provider in Johannesburg. Next she continued living in Johannesburg and started working for ING Barings South Africa. After having travelled through Africa, Australia and Asia, she started working on the international corporate finance department of MeesPierson (which later became Fortis Bank). Since 2000, she worked as senior consultant for Ecorys (previously called Dutch Economic Institute (NEI)). Here she was responsible for business development, project management and technical support in the field of SME development in developing countries worldwide. For her work she has carried out many projects for WorldBank, European Commission, IFC and diverse governments.
Since 1 February 2012, Agnes works as business advisor for Agriterra. Initially building up the portfolio’s in Tanzania and Indonesia. From 2014 she moved to Indonesia and continued building up a portfolio of mainly cooperatives. She guides potential agribusinesses from Indonesia further professionalising their products and services.
