Lei is a business advisor of Agriterra China office, based at Chongqing. He is responsible for a few cooperative business development projects in Southwest China.
Lei is a firm believer and practitioner of the development approach that integrates innovation, global knowledge and local farmer’s leadership in rural economy transformation. In his work with cooperative clients, Lei purses his mission of giving organized farmers access to practical knowledge about governance, business development and financial management as an advisor.
Lei also works closely with different stakeholders such as local governmental authority for professionalized farmer’s cooperatives and vibrant rural communities. One recent project Lei is working on is a government-funded advisory project involving 10+ Dutch experts from Agri-Food sector delivering trainings and providing hands-on advice on pre-defined subjects for 7 farmer’s cooperatives.
Lei holds a MSc in Economics from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands and BSc in Economics from Northwest Agricultural & Forestry University in China. Prior joining Agriterra, Lei worked as a Marketing Trainee at Philips Electronics Headquarter in Amsterdam.
