Monitoring for action for farmers' organisations

26-02-2014 Agriterra works on effective, efficient and suitable monitoring and evaluation tools for farmers' organisations. From 3 till 5 February 2014 Agriterra organised a second workshop about monitoring and evaluation in close collaboration with the Eastern African Farmers Association. Seven farmers' organisations from South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Kenya (host country) participated in this workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to exchange on existing monitoring & evaluation systems of the farmers’ organisations. All participants were asked to present their system and data collection methodology (technics, content, structures). There was a lot of mutual learning: exchange of information, challenges, expertise and ideas. At the end of the days, each farmers’ organisation has made their own action plan which they will incorporate in their annuals plans.
