Ngo Thi Thanh Van has twenty years of working experience in the development sector. As graduated Master of Development Management, she has started as a project officer and worked to be the Advisor for SNV-Netherland Development Organization (1998-2008), the Income and Employment Generation for Women Project in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. After the project phased out, she was recruited as Central Region Manager for SEDA – Small Enterprise Development Assitance. This project supports women enterprises to access to finance and technical support.
Since 2010, she started her job as a freelance consultant for many organisations such as Asia Development Bank (ADB); Care International; Unilever Foundation; International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); GIZ; Medical Committee Netherland & Vietnam (MCNV); Agriterra; USAID-Green Annamites, Platform for Inclusive Finance (NPM Netherlands). She was take a position as a Deputy Director of Quang Binh Women Development Fund (2013-2015), a social fund operate microfinance activities and then she worked for World Vision Vietnam as an Operation Manager of Microfinance Unit until Feb, 2017.
Van sees that working with diverse partners at different levels enriches her with valuable experiences in communication, dealing with difficult situations and problem-solving as well as create the excellent network. Besides that, by working for the international organisation and as a freelance consultant, it makes her more active, able to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment and under time pressure. Especially, by fulfilling all tasks required accordance with consultancy service/package, she is skillful in analysing, synthesizing, reporting and presenting study findings as well as communicating and connecting with stakeholders.
She joined Agriterra Vietnam because she desires to contribute to cooperative and collective economy development sector in Vietnam. She is eager to learn new things as well as learning from colleagues to expand her knowledge and skills.
