Ninoska González Herrera (1974 Talca, Chile) works as business advisor at Agriterra. She became involved with the practical aspects of agriculture at an agricultural secondary school and afterwards studied Agronomy at the University of Talca (Chile), where she specialised in agro business. During an exchange of one year with the University of Göttingen in Germany, she also specialised in Rural Development.
While studying, she worked in rural development projects for the regional government of Chile. After her graduation, she moved to the Netherlands in 2004, where she followed a Master’s education in Agro-Ecological Knowledge and Social Change at the University of Wageningen. Her graduation thesis focused on an analysis of demand-oriented financing of agricultural innovations on small-scale farms in Chile.
After this, she worked briefly for the Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario in Talca (Chile). She moved to the Netherlands again, where she worked for one year in a project concerning organisation profiling of partner organisations of Agriterra, executed by the Wageningen University and Research Centre/ LEI. In January 2007, she started working as a projects officer for Agriterra in the context of a post-doctoral education in Development Studies with the Radboud University in Nijmegen. She has worked here on a regular basis since January 1, 2008. First as project officer and since April 2011 as business advisor.
