Agriterra is looking for a Cooperative Advisor who can provide expert advice and coordinate advisory trajectories with reputable cooperatives and farmer organisations in Uganda
The Junior CA plays a dynamic and supportive role across the full project cycle: from project identification and acquisition through implementation and closure. This position includes hands-on advisory work with dairy cooperatives within project frameworks, working closely with the project lead and experienced cooperative advisors who will mentor your professional development.

This position involves driving the growth of Agriterra’s project portfolio in the region by implementing global business and marketing development strategies and achieving ambitious targets. The role requires identifying emerging market trends in East Africa and translating them into actionable insights for Agriterra, its donors, cooperatives, and partners. Key tasks include writing high-quality project proposals focused on food security, private sector development, and climate action. The Business Developer develops coherent logical frameworks and aligns results with budgets and narratives. They coordinate business development processes among diverse internal and external teams and collaborate to strengthen Agriterra’s value proposition. The role involves updating and implementing the business development strategy, supporting capacity building, and nurturing donor and stakeholder relationships. Moreover, the role includes pipeline development for monitoring and reporting, as well as increasing Agriterra’s visibility in East Africa. Candidates should have a relevant Master's degree, at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, and strong communication and proposal writing skills.
The Business Developer leads business development processes and engages internal and external stakeholders across countries. They also maintain and expand relationships with donors and strategic partners globally. The role demands at least three years of experience in proposal development, acquisition, and project management. Candidates must be proficient in English, with Dutch or French as a plus, and able to work under pressure with frequent travel. Essential skills include strategic communication, negotiation, creativity, and organizational abilities. Je vertaalt de internationale strategie van Agriterra naar nationale en regionale doelen.
