About Agriterra
For this position, Agriterra is seeking an experienced, results-oriented person who will provide expert advice, coordinate advisory trajectories with clients, and have an advisory and broker role in the closing of business deals aimed at building well organised and operational cooperatives and farmers’ organisations. In order to achieve this, the successful candidate will initiate and maintain a network that will include cooperatives and farmers’ organisations, financial institutions, traders, service providers and other stakeholders in the value chain. He/she will initiate and guide change trajectories with clients and will lobby, mediate and support negotiation processes, as well as prepare business deals.

You’re an inspiring and practical professional who believes in the power of cooperation. You combine strong analytical and financial skills with a genuine passion for supporting farmers and their organisations.
Your background includes:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, Agri-business, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Accounting and Finance, or related)
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience - ideally involving business and finance plan development in the agricultural sector.
- Sound understanding of the agricultural landscape in Ivory Coast, particularly cocoa, cashew, shea, and cereals.
- Experience working with agricultural cooperatives, facilitating workshops, and managing projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French.
- Good computer skills (MS Office).
- Willingness to travel within the Ivory Coast.
- A strong network within the agribusiness financing sector is a plus..
