About the Job
For this role, we are looking for a passionate and innovative person to join our team of Cooperative advisors in Ghana (Walewale). The Junior CA will play a supportive role in several areas related to the full project implementation and closure. This includes advisory work to cooperatives within project frameworks under the guidance of the project lead.
Main Responsibilities
- Cooperative Advisory: Support project implementation with selected cooperatives in conducting advisory work, such as preparing and implementing scoping, cooperative assessments, and assisting in developing action plans. In addition, the Jr. CA also assists with the planning, implementation, follow-up, and guidance of the advisory trajectories implemented.
- Project Management: Support the responsible project lead with project planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of interventions. Complete tasks upon request of experienced team members. Deliver personal project responsibilities within deadlines and prepare reports for the project lead.
- Administration & reporting: Routine process documentation (writing reports), preparatory work for core activities (workshops, visits, training), and project archiving. Support routine reporting and collection of basic project and client information in the internal M&E systems of Agriterra.
What do you offer?
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, e.g., Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, Agri-business, or any other related field.
- A maximum of 2 years of relevant working experience at international organisation(s); experience supporting agricultural development projects.
- Understanding and experience in project monitoring and evaluation are preferable.
- Good oral and written communication skills (English and other local languages; Mampruli, Dagbani is an asset)
- Good computer skills in MS applications (MS Office)
- Willing to travel to rural communities.
