Regional Marketing and Communications Officer - Nairobi, Kenya

About the role

At Agriterra, we believe strong farmer organisations are the foundation of thriving rural communities. To help tell that story—clearly, consistently, and with impact—we are looking for a Regional Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team in Nairobi.

In this role, you will work across countries in the region, connecting and advising Agriterra colleagues to ensure our marketing and communication efforts are locally relevant, strategically aligned, and true to our brand. Your focus will be on strengthening our visibility, supporting partnerships, and helping turn meaningful work on the ground into stories that inspire action.

You will help translate Agriterra’s global marketing and communications strategy into regional campaigns, projects, and day-to-day activities—always with an eye on context, collaboration, and impact.

You’ll join a young, diverse, and highly motivated international communications team, playing an active role in shaping Agriterra’s voice across the region. You will report functionally to the Communications Coordinator (based in the Netherlands) and hierarchically to the Regional Manager.

Your main base will be Agriterra’s regional office in Nairobi. Occasional travel within the region may be required to engage stakeholders and strengthen networks.

  • Support and train colleagues in design software and content creation tools

And more, including content creation and optimisation, brand stewardship, and project coordination.

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or branding
