Netherlands East Africa Dairy Partnership

NEADAP is a partnership of organisations involved in dairy development, linking expertise and experience gained in the various projects, programmes and public-private collaboration in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.

It bundles knowledge agendas and local initiatives, stimulating learning and scaling trajectories geared towards transforming the dairy system in East Africa. The approach is based on the position paper "Dairy for nutrition, employment and sustainability".
This approach includes an action agenda for creating synergy between Dutch government programmes, NGO initiatives, knowledge institutes and private sector (the Dutch diamond)
in direct collaboration with the key actors in the five countries. The partnership is driven by Agriterra, SNV, Solidaridad and Wageningen UR.

The total project amount available is Euro 2.7 million. The project is running 2 years and managed by SNV. Aim is to develop the dairy sector in Eastern Africa on different topics. Within this project Agriterra will have the lead in developing sustainable services.
