Boosting productivity and access to finance

The project focuses on increasing the productivity of farmers within cooperatives by professionalising farm practices and improving access to finance. Key activities include improving access to high quality inputs such as seedlings and fertiliser, providing training and coaching on professional farming and post harvest handling, offering guidance on business operations and marketing, and facilitating access to financial services including loans through guarantees. The project also supports better connections with markets to strengthen farmers’ positions in the value chain.

Supporting ambitious cooperatives

We work with cooperatives that are ambitious and committed yet in need of substantial guidance to professionalise their business operations and improve sustainable services for their members. This project is made possible with the support of Stichting De Eik as donor, and East West Seed Knowledge Transfer, who provide technical expertise by setting up tomato demonstration plots and training farmers on good agricultural practices. Cooperation is key

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.

Building on the success of the Dutch cooperative sector, we strengthen farmer organisations. Together we achieve your sustainability goals and create lasting impact as we do so. A win-win for all involved
