Rachel Miessi

Rachel Miessi-Aka is an Agronomist Engineer, graduated from the Felix Houphouet Boigny Polytechnic Institute (INPHB) based in Yamoussoukro in Côte d'Ivoire, since 2014.

She began her professional experience as a research assistant. In this position, she participated in the introduction of new varieties and innovative technical itineraries to groups of producers. Then she joined the exciting world of cocoa sustainability in 2017 as Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation System program implementation manager at cooperatives partner to members of the International Cocoa Initiative Foundation.

Rachel then participated, as an Advisor and Trainer in Agribusiness management by implementing projects to professionalise farmers' organizations through capacity strengthening of leaders and members of these organisations. 

Prior to joining Agriterra, she participated as a Sustainability Manager in the implementation of control and advisory services of sustainability activities in cocoa at the level of partner cooperatives of Chocolate Companies, Traders and Exporters. 

Rachel joins Agriterra's West Africa team to continue contributing to the sustainable development of cooperatives as Cooperative Advisor.
