Bert Steenbergen

Bert Steenbergen (Ruinen, 1962) is a farmer’s son. After completing the Agricultural school he had several jobs on farms in Canada and the Netherlands. Later, Bert studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. After that he completed two postgraduate studies at the University of Groningen in the field of Marketing and Corporate Governance. In 1984 he started a banking career at Rabobank. During this 28 years period he has held various positions in credit & finance, insurance, investment and management. The last twelve years at Rabobank he was appointed as managing director.

Between 2012 and 2017 he has carried out a number of missions for Agriterra as an Agripooler. Furthermore he is the author of the Internal Capitalization training programme for cooperatives.

In November 2017 he joined Agriterra as business advisor.
