Crescent Mugisha

Crescent Mugisha is a junior Cooperative Advisor on the Agriterra Uganda team. He is very passionate about youth engagement in agribusiness and cooperatives because they have the potential to solve the unemployment challenge, address the food security question, to contribute tremendously to the respective country’s GDP, but most importantly: the youth guarantees continuity, growth and sustainability of cooperatives.

Crescent himself is a youthful commercial farmer. He was the first Youth Council chairperson at Rukiga SACCO. This Council later evolved into a promising youth-founded, youth-led, and youth-owned cooperative called Kigezi Potato Farmers’ Cooperative Society Ltd with Crescent as the founder and board chairperson.  

Within Agriterra, he is committed to support the formation and strengthening of youth councils.
