Emmanuel Kibet

Emmanuel Kibet is a business advisor based in Nairobi, Kenya. He joined Agriterra in April 2020. His first assignment was to advise and support cooperatives under the Climate Resilient Agribusinesses For Tomorrow (CRAFT) project, to make them adaptive and resilient to climate shocks.

Before joining Agriterra, Emmanuel was working as a Support Agronomist at an agricultural testing Laboratory & Agronomy advisory services company where his main task was to offer technical support to spectral mobile labs across the region. Before that he held other positions: he worked as a project agronomist and as a sales agronomist in a seed company.

Emmanuel holds a degree in agriculture and is currently writing his thesis on “Evaluation of Minjingu Rock phosphate in combination with Mycorrhizae and PSB in potato production” for his MSc in Agronomy.  Emmanuel is an ardent professional who brings to the team his wealth of progressive experience in crop science, soil fertility management, conservation agriculture, managing crop-related projects, and agri-businesses development.
Besides, he has a keen interest in climate-smart agriculture and assessing climate change impact on agribusiness environments. He is greatly motivated towards supporting agribusiness and small-scale farmers towards achieving food security.
