Frederick Sarkodie

Frederick Sarkodie is a dynamic and result-oriented agricultural development professional. He has expertise in crop production technologies and agricultural extension delivery. In June 2023, he joined Agriterra as a Junior Cooperative Advisor.

Before joining Agriterra, Frederick worked as the District Crops Officer at the Department of Agriculture in the Adansi Asokwa district, after his transfer from the Adansi North district as District Extension Officer. His professional experience spans a period of 12 years where he trained farmer-based organisations, and supervised agricultural extension agents and farmers in ensuring agricultural production sustainability and food security. At the department, he was also part of the management team for the daily administration and had the responsibility of ensuring the monitoring and supervision of departmental projects including the fertiliser subsidy programme and the planting for Food and Jobs. Frederick has an interest in sustainable agricultural and farmer cooperative development.

He is passionate about rural farmer development through cooperatives. He holds a master’s degree in non-government studies and management from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Ghana. He is a team player willing to learn from experts and experienced individuals and can work with people in remote areas.
