Habiba Nyarko Agyemang

Habiba Nyarko Agyemang started at Agriterra in September 2018 as a consultant working on the cooperative landscape in Ghana, and since February 2019, became a business advisor with Agriterra start-up in Ghana. She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Production Chain Management with specialisation in forest value chains from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. She also holds a BA in Political Science and Linguistics from the University of Ghana.
 
Prior to working with Agriterra, Habiba worked for a few years in banking and over 6 years as a professional in development sector in Ghana. Her responsibilities mainly cut across project development and management, community engagements and advocacy geared towards underserved farming communities and less privileged populations with competing priorities.  She is a trained International Value Chain Analyst and Chain Development Facilitator with expertise in particularly participatory research.
 
She is a results-driven individual, an enthusiastic and easy-going person with good interpersonal skills. She has good communication skills, both written and verbal and has the ability to interact effectively with both specialists and non-specialists in multicultural settings. As an agri-business entrepreneur herself, Habiba is passionate about driving impact for farmer development.
