Peter Ntaganda (1987) was born in Uganda and at the age of 7 his parents returned to Rwanda where he was raised. He holds a bachelor's degree with honours in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the National University of Rwanda. He worked for the Rwanda Ministry of Agriculture for 3 years as Agribusiness and Agriculture Finance Specialist. He has a wide experience in agricultural cooperative training, agribusiness planning, rural and agricultural finance as well as agricultural project monitoring and evaluation. He completed his master’s degree in Agribusiness at the Waikato Management School, University of Waikato in New Zealand, where he graduated with his thesis on “The opportunities and challenges of contract farming in maize and rice cooperatives in Rwanda”. After completion of his masters, Peter came back to Rwanda in 2016 and worked as a consultant in Agricultural Finance, Agribusiness and Agricultural Development.
In April 2017 Peter joined Agriterra Great Lakes team as a business Advisor based in Rwanda where his portfolio includes cooperatives and FOs in maize, cassava, horticulture, rice and coffee value chains.
