In Tanzania, many youths are not involved in agricultural and cooperative activities. This is due to the lack of agricultural and cooperative education when they are in school.
Agriterra organised a Youth kick-off workshop for the youth for KINOLE, KARANSI and NOSACCU in order to create awareness of youth involvement in cooperatives so as to have more young farmers actively participate and take up leadership positions in their cooperatives.
NOSSACU, one of the participants, is a joint project of SACCOS in the Northern Zone. They organised a youth seminar for participants from ten SACCOs where they explained the importance of involving youth in saving and credit cooperatives (SACCOs).
In this video the participants tell wat they have learned during the seminar.
