Louis Cabouat

Louis Cabouat started as business advisor at Agriterra in March 2020. He is part of team Africa with a special focus on French-speaking countries, specifically Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.

French national, Louis holds an engineer diploma in agriculture and food science and a specialised master in international agribusiness management. 

Before joining Agriterra, Louis worked for 10 years in the agribusiness and food industries, in France and in the Netherlands. Holding various positions in production engineering, purchasing, market research and finance gave Louis insights on international environments and corporate business practices while deepening his knowledge of agricultural commodities like oilseeds, corn, cocoa, sugar and dairy products.  

These previous experiences raised his interest for the agricultural upstream part of the value chain and specifically the condition of farmers in emerging and developing countries. 

He now would like to combine his experience in the corporate world with his willingness to help farmers and cooperatives. His goal is to support agricultural organisations in an impactful and efficient way, through market linkages and partnerships for business development.
