In 2021, Agriterra entered into a ten-year (2021-2030) strategic partnership with the Department of Sustainable Economic Development (DDE) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. In November 2022, a top-up was granted for the period 2023-2025, financed by the Inclusive Green Growth (IGG) department, for the implementation of ‘Acting Now for Food Security and Resilient Food Systems’.
Acting Now places strong emphasis on fostering systemic change in the food system and enhancing food and nutrition security of farmer organisations' individual member farmers, with a particular focus on women and youth.
Acting Now addresses acute food insecurity in 6 African countries where Agriterra operates: Burkina Faso, DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda.
