Marine Umukunzi

Marine Umukunzi is a business advisor based in Kigali, Rwanda. She joined Agriterra in October 2016. Before joining, Marine worked in different fields that gave her the opportunity to develop her advisory, communication and group facilitation skills. Especially by doing her internship with a Canadian rooted international NGO - Digital Opportunity Trust - Marine supported in the programme which was aimed to help youth and women in her community in developing entrepreneurial mindsets and digital skills. During this experience, she learned to apply different approaches and use tools to empower youth and women to take the lead in developing initiatives which creates a ripple effect of opportunities for themselves and others, leading to jobs and businesses. 

Marine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and she is soon completing her Master’s degree in Business Law. Apart from her work as an advisor, she is also a certified trainer of My.Coop-managing your agricultural cooperative, Cooperative Governance training and the workshop on Youth involvement in cooperatives.
